Columbus Harper Flexographic Solutions Seminar Attracts Energized Turnout

Charlotte, NC, August 26, 2010– A full schedule of presentations greeted print industry managers and craftsmen attending the Harper Flexographic Solutions Tour event August 5 in Columbus, OH.  Harper GraphicSolutions™, technical service division of global anilox supplier Harper Corporation, sponsors the free seminar series. 

Much of the morning session centered on anilox technology. Started with Mike Potter on anilox cleaning . Bill Poulson, Northeast Technical Graphic Advisor for Harper, suggested ways attendees can upgrade care and maintenance of anilox sleeves. FlexoWash’s Mike Potter spoke on plate and anilox cleaning systems while EIC’s Ron Zessack offered tips on improving substrates and ink adhesion.

Also during the morning, John Bearden of MicroDynamics provided details on his firm’s 3DQC inspection microscope and Jack Minton of Pacur reviewed linticular printing techniques for flexo 3D graphics.

After an hour-long free lunch, attendees heard from Kodak’s Doug Weiss on NX digital plate technology.  Ken Friedman of The Provident Group spoke on creating leak-free, clean printing stations while Bill Poulson, Harper’s Northeast Technical Graphics Advisor, entertained with his special version of Flexo Jeopardy.
