Harper Graphics Key Account Manager Visits Harper Corporation
Charlotte,
N.C., October 25, 2005 - This month, global anilox
supplier Harper Corporation of America welcomed Michael Halfar, the key account
manager at Harper Graphics in Germany, to its Charlotte, N.C. offices for a
week of training.
A veteran of Inometa (which is the world's major producer of carbon fiber
rollers as well as Harper Corporation's German partner), Michael Halfar
officially joined Harper Graphics (Harper Corporation's licensed affiliate in
Europe) on October 1st. In his new role, Halfar joins the sales team as key
account manager for sales in German-speaking countries and the Benelux
countries.
During his six days in Charlotte, Halfar received comprehensive training at the
Harper Corporation Advanced Surface Technology Center, the Harper National
Flexographic Center on Central Piedmont Community College's Harper Campus, and
on the floors of printing facilities to witness Harper technologies in action.
"The purpose of his training is to learn more about Harper's technology, its
products and the Harper spirit, in order to support the global consistency of
Harper's products and philosophy," according to Korhan Koese, Harper Graphics'
director of sales and marketing.
His education included a Harper WalkingSeminarT and
extensive training on Harper's anilox manufacturing and engraving processes,
including the principles of banded roll testing, and the benefits of Harper's
30-degree channeled hexagon engraving to achieve high levels of opacity for
both label and wide-web film applications. He also received hands-on
HarperScientificT training on the use of CeramCleanT
products to properly clean an anilox roll,
the operation and maintenance of Echocel JuniorT and
PhantomT proofers with different rollers and
substrates, the installation of DuroSealT end seals,
and a short course in proper doctor blade installation and chamber alignment.
Halfar also learned about the importance to a pressroom of other
HarperScientific products like SleeveshieldT and
ProfiltersT with Metal-Catch-ItT
Large Magnet.
Koese added, "The keys to Harper Graphics' success in Europe are to translate
the unique Harper principles of quality products, a technical approach to
problem-solving, and the highest degree of customer satisfaction that have made
Harper products the industry leader worldwide. Michael's presence at the Harper
corporate headquarters was as much a training session on the Harper philosophy
as its products."
Harper anilox rolls, HarperScientific
flexo pressroom supplies and Harper
GraphicSolutionsT technical services are all available in Europe
through Harper Graphics.
